Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 98 === With the advent of digital camera, the amount of personal digital photograph grows rapidly and sharing favorite photos with other people becomes important in our social lives. However, organizing huge personal collection and editing delicate slideshows are tedious and annoying for most users. Many photograph management tools have been proposed to automatically or semi-automatically generate pleasant photo slideshows, but most of them only apply simple templates/layouts to display all the input photos, resulting in drab or indistinctive presentation styles. Motivated by travel scrapbook, in this work, we present a semi-automatic/automatic digital scrapbook generating system, named as IS-Scrapbook, which highlights people in the photo and also keeps information of the main scene. IS-Scrapbook first clusters photo collections according to the time and visual information of photos. Then, photos in the same cluster are automatically arranged into one page or several successive pages based on aesthetic rules, including five basic design principles of typography, i.e. proximity, contrast, balance, color harmony and repetition. With the aid of the developed user interface, users can further adjust photo positions and enrich each page by sketching or inserting dialog bubbles. User study shows that the proposed work enhances the experiences of photo browsing and gives a brand-new way of photo sharing.
