Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 造形藝術研究所 === 98 === Abstract The basic creating spirit of this study is the Chinese art, and the main creating thought of the artist is the “Zen”(Zen is a school of Mahāyāna Buddhism, translated from the Chinese word zen. This word means "meditation".) These artworks reflect the wisdom of the “Zen” and the concerns of life. This study focuses on the Taiwanese ink paintings from 1980 to 2000, which show not only the traditional painting skills, but the new materials applications. For instance, the traditional Chinese ink paintings may only present by calligraphy but these works apply multiple materials, such as the technique of engraving. The twenty-five artworks are divided into five series, which are “Heart of Zen”, “Music and Destiny, “Love of Land”, “All Living Creatures” and “Eternal Memories”. Moreover, these artworks were created in different experimental periods. With varied painting techniques and materials, the artist presents different visualization of time and space The purpose of these different integration experiments is not only presenting the art, but expressing the philosophy and religion thoughts. Creating the new possibilities and new visualizations, these artworks certainly show the artist’s ambition of art and beauty. 【Key words】Zen(meditation), look of heart, ink painting
