The research methods are expert interview and case study. The results are show as below: 1. After obtaining environmental certification in IC design Industry, it can improve the design quality and quality image by inducting design FMEA. The implementation of design FMEA is also obviously helpful to reduce the product design cycle time and the design cost and to engage the automotive customers. 2. The difficulty for design FMEA procedure are :(1) A few people to involve;(2)can not think over all the potential failures;(3)Too much work stress;(4) Unfamiliar with design FMEA sheet and flow chart;(5)New product development period is too short. And the solutions are :(1) Aggressive participants of management;(2) Enhancing on professional training and the communication on quality sense;(4) Implementing design FMEA idea into the standard operating procedure;(5)Well Controlling the project schedule and working quality of product development. 3.
