In Taiwan, with a few downstream assembly plants in the 1960s, the semiconductor industry has developed into a comprehensive industrial system with vertical and horizontal division of labor, which promoted the development of IC design industry. This research takes the first IC design company in Taiwan as study case, use literature discussion, industry analysis, and working experience to analyze how does the company become the strategic partner with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company until now, and the member of TSMC Value Chain Aggregator (VCA), and how does it become the partner with Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation. This cooperate model brings the huge synergy to the both side. Under the collaboration model, this company pulled away from competitors, and expands the market share. With this successful experience, in the future, it can apply this model not only to other domestic partners but also to foreign partners to expand sales channels, develop potential markets and customer needs. Then it will achieve the vision of being the leading world-class customize SOC design turnkey service provider.
