Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 資訊管理系 === 98 === With the development of information technology and the changes of competitive business environment. Many enterprises have begun to implement information systems to improve business processes and efficiency, futher increase work performance. But most of information system implementation projects do not achieve their estimated benefits. In the literature of information system implementation, we find scholars consider that the degree of user participation is one of critical success factors in information system implementation, and social networks research also suggests that individual social network relationship will affect their behavior within the organization. However, past studies generally focus on the influence of user participation in information system implementation success, so lack of personal behavior that affects the user participation. Base on the social network theory, this study attempts to discuss whether the network centrality will affect the user participation or not in information system implementation. In aspect of network centrality, we used degree, closeness, betweenness and eigenvector as indicators to investigate the relationships between individual network centrality and four dimensions of user participation. Then we futher explore the user participation effect on system success. In this paper, we adopted the ERP implementation project of TSC Company as an example. The sample data have 211questionnaires and analyze data via UCINET , AMOS and SPSS.Our empirical results show that : (1) network centrality positively affects the four dimensions of user participation; (2) hands-on activity and communication activity positively affects system success. Therefore, we consider that when enterprises implement information systems could be diffuse the systems-related knowledge through individual network relationships not only to enhance the user is willing to participate into system implemention activities, but also to improve the success rate of implement effectively.
