Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 土木與防災工程學系碩士班 === 98 === There are many natural soils which have deposited through a geologic process of sedimentation over a period of time, or rocks deformed by the tectonic stresses or orogenies, the mechanical properties, such as permeability, deformability, and strength, are all exhibited anisotropic properties. Hence, to obtain more desirable results, it is imperative to consider the anisotropic deformability. Additionally, where the discontinuities of rock masses dip at an angle from the horizontal surface, their effects on the displacements and stresses could be essential to the design of geotechnical structures. This study presents utilizing the commercial code, FLAC3D, to estimate the vertical stress caused by a rectangular load on the inclined transversely isotropic media and investigation of the lateral earth pressures due to the surcharge embedded loads on a cross-anisotropic backfill. Acceptable results are obtained in this numerical analysis. Furthermore, the numerical model can be extended to simulate the vertical stress increment by the rectangular load acting on the inclined transversely isotropic media.
