Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 中國文學研究所 === 98 === The interest in children’s Chinese character education is increasingly growing while the systematic approach and instruction are considerably insufficient. As Chinese character education is not regular course, it tends to be the education for only raising the grade of the Hanja(Chinese) proficiency test, and the books based on simple organization and mechanical iterative learning damages children’s learning motivation. In addition, the studies on children’s Chinese character education are getting increased, but only a few recent studies discussed practical instruction. Therefore, this study aims to seek for the activation-oriented teaching methods by developing aids to effectively deliver the contents of children’s Chinese character education, which is the urgent request in reality. First, it examined the need and characteristics of children’s Chinese character education theoretically, and looked into the trend of Chinese and Japanese children’s Chinese character education. It also mentioned the concept and importance of materials-aids as the theoretical approach of teaching-learning, and proposed the principal of children’s Chinese character teaching-learning after analyzing the problems of the current children’s Chinese character teaching-learning. Lastly, it divided teaching aids into the visual aid, the manipulative aid, and the aid using physical activities to efficiently deliver the contents of children’s Chinese character learning, and proposed the physical activity-centered teaching methods. First, for visual aids, transition cards of a character shape, Chinese picture books, Chinese calendars and clocks were used for linguistic expression. Second, as to manipulative aids, Chinese puzzles, Chinese wooden block, Chinese section boards, family panel written in Chinese, and Chinese finger plate were presented for children to handle, disconnect, connect, and reorganize using their fingers and hands by themselves. Third, for aids using the physical activity, Chinese shadow, Chinese cushions, and bottoms of feet in Chinese were presented to express specific Chinese physically or moving the body. In addition, the visual, manipulative, and physical activity-oriented aids presented in this study were manufactured with the commonly found materials instead of using Chinese character learning data, the study described activity goals, activity data, production, and activity methods based on the experience of its application in the actual education site. In the reality with insufficient studies on the aids activity-centered practical teaching methods, it is hoped that this study will be efficiently used in the practical education site, and more various types of teaching methods should be developed through conducting more studies.
