碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 藝術研究所 === 98 === To me, Landscape painting is not only to draw the beauty of Nature but also a way to express feelings of the inner world. Based on this, I have this research to talk about Landscape paintings and Corot - who is a pivotal figure in landscape painting and with great influence to Impressionism. The contents are: The writer made a summary of motives, goals, the scope and manners of the thesis in Ch. 1. Ch. 2, the classification and development of landscape paintings - the changes and turning point of landscape paintings from Renaissance to the modern time. Ch. 3, the transition in between each period of Corot's landscape paintings and the achievement, expression of feelings within his work of art. Ch. 4, the analysis of my own landscape painting; where the inspiration coming from and the direction I'm heading for. In the mean time, I'll also demonstrate the forms of painting mentioned in this research. Ch. 5, final conclusion.
