The control of electronic equipments in the house is based on the number and location of people. The purpose of this study is to detect whether there is someone inside the house, and to utilize this message as the basis for the smart house control. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is an automatic and contact-less technique for identifying an object or an individual. Comparing to other contact-less identification technologies, not only does it equip with mass storage, the processing speed is also relatively fast. This technology has been widely used in en-trance guard management. However, RFID tags transmit data by broadcasting wireless signal to any active reader within the range. How to keep the confidentiality of data stored in the tag and to protect the privacy of tag holder becomes an important security issue of RFID application. This research reviews the current RFID authentication schemes that compliant with EPC class 1 generation 2 standard and points out their security leaks. It is neces-sary to redesign authentication protocol or tag itself to overcome the privacy and secu-rity issue of RFID Systems in the future. The major contribution of this study is to implement an object detection system that to be integrated with the smart house main control. Experimental results show that we are able to detect indoor moving objects and calculate the number of those objects precisely. Such information is then sent to the smart house console via web service for further scenario control. Dwen-Ren Tsai Allen Y. Chang 蔡敦仁 張耀鴻 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 95 zh-TW
