There were 5 main scales in the research in order to represent self-management ability, which are learning attitude, time management, monetary management, life moral and emotion management. All subjects in this study were either the first year or the fourth year college students from Taiwan. The reliability was high in pre-test section, Cronbach’s α in five scales was all up to .75. The reliability was still great in the formal-test, Cronbach’s α if five scales were all up to .67. For the relationship between self management and life satisfaction: learning attitude, time management, life moral and emotion management are positive correlated with life satisfaction. For the relationship between self management and academic performance: learning attitude, time management and life moral are positive correlated with academic performance. Otherwise, the regression results showed learning attitude, time management and life moral can positively predict academic performance, but monetary management and emotion management were negativity predictors of it. To sum up, this research provided a great and useful survey for knowing the ability of college students in Taiwan. In addition, the results also present the profile of resent situation of college students, which can be a good reference to future studies
