WAVE is composed of a family of standards in which IEEE 802.11p defines the operations of MAC layer and PHY layer. IEEE 802.11p utilizes contention-based EDCA to determine the transmission right of different nodes on the same channel. However, unbalanced distribution of flows with different priority into the wireless channels will cause inefficient transmission. In this thesis, we propose a mechanism to avoid the situation that high priority flows are unfairly allocated to available channels and thus, the system throughput can be improved.
