The mass media wants to use Internet because of its high effect and convenient. It will improve the work effect and flow. This case study mainly purpose is to build a ‘Media Asset Management’ system for a tradition mass media company to help their work. This company uses the tape for its storage media. It is large and not easy to search data. So we use the Information Technology and digital video transformation to digitalize the tape and storage the media. It caused it easy to use and mange.
We use the Waterfall method of Soft Engineering to build the project. We start form user’s requirement. We make table list for each requirement. The project in accordance with requirement to implement, test and maintain. This MAM system has already success process the signal of tape, satellite, SNG car and microwave transmission. We have tested the ingestion, transform, store and reuse.
This system have tested by support microwave transmission signal, non-tape system and IPTV back system.
