It has advantages include thin, light weight, high brightness, and many other advantages. As the liquid crystal material is not self-luminous so must be a backlight module. However, good or bad backlight module will determine the quality of liquid crystal displays. In the current the LCD size is bigger than before. That is the more difficult relative in the backlight module design. How to get a better display quality (high-brightness, high uniformity, low power consumption, and thin backlight) that is important for designers. Most of the traditional backlight module using the CCFL (Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) for backlight, but its composition cause environmental pollution, it was gradually adopted by LED (Light Emitting Diode) as backlight source, but the characteristics of two Different light source lead to be different design, therefore, This article focuses on the use of LED light source with light guide plate of designed for large-size panel, the light use the side-light type into the light guide plate whole the module, used the design of pattern split up block and the V-cut and 3D circular pattern as the main parameters use the least time for experimental results will be close to the standard required for general industry, Using the optical simulation software LightTools, without any optical film of compensation, consequently, 3D circular dot radius R=0.1 mm split up 27 blocks get up to 80% uniformity, and the average luminance 3703 nits, V-cut dot is split up 23 blocks in the get up to 81% uniformity and the average luminance 6259 nits.
