The main roles of English teaching are mentor and protégé. If English teaching is successful, “Protégé” must be put first, so that it has a multiplier effect. That’s because “Protégé” is the key to the effectiveness of learning English. They bear the responsibility of being dedicated to developing their English teaching skills. What they do is also an important key. In this study, practical research on mentoring takes the example of English teachers in cram schools. It is divided into: 1.Requirements condition 2. Professional growth aspects 3.Training stages 4.Practical examples. This study aims to take an example of English teachers in cram schools. Use “Qualitative Research” method and interview ten experienced teachers in cram schools in Taiwan, collect and analyze the data by indepth interviewing, and analyzing explicitly the documentation and interviewing notes. Through indepth interviews and analysis, this research leads to the following conclusions: 1.Good teachers need to be trained by superior mentors. 2.Those that become good teachers never stop learning 3.Good teachers are qualified through the six stages including the three aspects and thirteen professional abilities. 4.Keep practicing and training, and teaching will continue to be progressive. It is said that practice makes perfect. The analysis of this study was to aggregate the results and make conclusions related to cram schools as well as serving as a practical reference for the recommendations of future research.
