Over the years continuing interest in tourism for leisure purposes has focused largely on stress management, knowledge enrichment, self-fulfillment, and innovations learning by the public. Considering qualitative studies concerning consumer behavior regarding female tourist and backpacker has been a developing domain within the sphere of travel experience, quantitative research, however, is a potential but comparatively uncultivated area. The present study therefore addresses this issue by investigating the impact of traveling on self-actualizing teaching from an experience-based perspective to deliver proper concepts into classroom practice and further encourage leisure life. We used survey method through stratified random sampling. The participants were five hundred twenty elementary school teachers of Tainan County. A total of 482 valid returned with respond rate of 92.69%. Descriptive statistics, factorial analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analysis were employed to examine the data. Quantitative analysis of the results shows that statistically significant deviations were not found between teacher background and travel experience. In regard to self-actualizing instruction, no significant differences were detected in terms of teacher background. This thesis will specifically end with an attempt to affirm significantly effects of travel experience on self-actualizing teachers in an elementary education setting. Pedagogical implications and limitations based on the main findings were offered for education bureau and correspondingly travel agencies to carefully plan the tour, heartily arrange the itinerary, and make decisions thoughtfully for customers. 王逸峰 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 100 zh-TW
