Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木與防災研究所 === 98 === Project management is the key to success in the built environment. There are different phases in a construction project, including design, planning, sub-contracting, construction, acceptance, and finally operation and maintenance. It is up until recently, increasing implementations of software and synchronized internet system is applied to improve project management, and improve the efficiency of a construction project control both onsite and from the office. The implementation of the management software is to ensure that information throughout the complex organizational structure can be synchronized in order to improve efficiency in resource management throughout the entire project cycle. The synchronization of information can provide up to date data and report of particular projects, which was traditionally not possible. Such information can improve project progress and reduce possibilities for delay. The web-based synchronization system can present the totality of the project in real time, which allows the project manager access via internet anytime and anyplace. This means site engineers are no longer required to report to project managers verbally, and can improve their efficiency of construction project management. The study will compare the difference in functionality and management way among web-based software in order to provide an insight for future project managers. However, it is also found that although the application of the web-based management software does improve efficiency in progress management and project execution, through practical implementation, but the project manager must have in-depth understanding of project management in the built environment.
