Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所 === 98 === The purposes of this study were to investigate the relationship between work values and job involvement for the vocational high school teachers in Taiwan, and to explore the differences of demographic factors on work values and job involvement for the vocational high school teachers in Taiwan. Vocational high school teachers in the school year of 2009 served as subjects in this study. A school was randomly chosen from each district, and 25 teachers from each school were randomly chosen as subjects. 1175 copies of questionnaires were sent, and 928 valid copies were collected. Descriptive statistics, one sampled t-test, independent sampled t-test, one-way ANOVA as well as Pearson product-moment correlation were conducted to analyze the data. The conclusions were as follows: 1.Work values that vocational high school teachers put emphasis on are self-improvement, altruism, a sense of security and interpersonal relationships. 2.Significant differences were found on factors of gender, education level, educational background, position, period of service, school nature and the size of the school on work values. 3.The job involvement of the vocational high school teachers in Taiwan was found higher than average. 4.Significant differences were found on factors of age, educational background, position, period of service and school nature on job involvement. 5.Vocational teachers''s work values in self-growth, altruism, reputation for achievement and relationships with job involvement have a higher degree of correlation. Based on the results of this study, suggestions for teachers, schools, the educational administration, and future studies were proposed.
