Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 環境教育與資源研究所環境資源組 === 98 === The purpose of this study is to design a digital game ( about global warming impact on water resources), to test if this game can attract students interested in environmental issues, and whether this game can enhance their knowledge. Through the ADDIE development theory provides the main tool to design the exploratory and the Monopoly games for this study. The games include water resources, global climate change, impact of global warming on water resources, and the sustainable development of the above concepts. Design of the games are conducted by actual testing on students. Feedbacks are used to modify the initial game design to obtain the final version of the “Water Resources Monopoly” game. After the completion of a formal teaching experiment, quantitative results of the before and after achievement tests and questionnaires are analyzed using descriptive statistics and t-test. Study results indicate that: (1) The Before and after achievement tests scores suggest that students obtain significant progress in knowledge of warming and water resources after the games; (2) The ARCS questionnaires show that the games help to enhance students’ motivation to learn.
