Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 98 === This study mainly analyzed the work of Dutilleux, music for String Quartet “Ainsi la nuit”, which is composed by the famous composer of modern France. Several literatures were reviewed first in order to understand his life and work. Furthermore, we applied different music elements to analyze this work, including form of the music, motivation, harmony, interval, rhythm, dynamics, and timbre etc.. As a consequence, the motive reappeared with different form all over the work and expanded to a movement. “The memory concept” is most beautifully described as well. The core of this work is the pivot chords, meanwhile, sound of major second and perfect fifth pass through holistic melody. Owing to exquisite timbre, the gradations of music are very abundant. Music syntax of this work is applied to compose my creative work named “The First Gleams of Day” and “Silk road”, which is for violin, violoncello, piano, and for string quartet respectively. We applied “the memory concept” in “The First Gleams of Day”. The motive development of music was designed with symmetry as well as form of music. These features made music full of consistency. On the other hand, “Silk road” applied harmonic as primary timbre, and the main motive transferred to different pitch all over the music.
