This study was carried out via questionnaire method. The subjects under investigation were 121 nurses in the 87 secondary schools of Taipei city. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson product-moment correlation methods. The main research results are as follows: 1. The overall performance of personality trait and each specific item of the secondary school nurses are above average, among which rank the highest is 「care responsibility」. 2. The overall performance of job stress and each specific item of the secondary school nurses are about average, among which rank the highest is 「administrative stress」. 3. According to their marriage status and age, secondary school nurses show significant differences in 「emotional stability」 of personality trait. 4. According to their marriage status, age, and working experience, secondary school nurses show significant differences in job stress in every respect. 5. The relationship between each individual item of 「personality trait」 and 「job stress」 is negatively correlated in general for secondary school nurses. Based on the research results, suggestions are offered for the reference of administrative agency of education, nursing staff of secondary schools, and future studies.
