My thesis began with scanning my notepad, picking up keywords that reflect (associate) the events of my daily life and my art practice like fragment of the puzzle that pieces together what might left behind in my life. 2.I make a personal connection by taking the phrase “Notepad” to associate the Chinese word of my last name “Note” as a metaphor of “making note” of myself. On the other hand, my paper will be placed on the library shelf of Tainan National University of the Arts, thus my personal notepad also become notepad of the others as my paper ended with many blank pages allowing it to be write by me o r by my readers in future time. The first chapter, “Prologue”, explained my attempt to piece together the incomplete structure and breaking form that I saw from myself. In second chapter, “Confessions of a Mask”, explain the masks of various appearances that I encountered, and those masks served to cover the subject (one’s self) from reveal to others while shifting one ’s self to assume different purposes and meanings. In third chapter, “Reality and Dream” describe the impact of reality on one’s self and how it was dealt in the dream as a temporary solution escape from reality. In the fourth chapter, “It catches me” expressed how I discover the art materials that derived from my daily living, and how it affected my conceptual thinking. Finally, I conclude my thesis express my anxiety dealing post-school life, but I make plans for future goals, this remind me that I still have dreams for the reality I live in.
