Taking action research as main research method, this research referred to relative literatures; meanwhile, it adopted qualitative approach to conduct data collection from 10 students. The teachers’ teaching journals, quiz notes, as well as students’ learning journals, learning sheets, feedback sheets, and interview records after classes were collected in order to understand learner’s self-study situation so as to amend the teaching direction at any time. By clarifying the characteristics of Ballet technique and somatic approaches, the teaching content was decided. Further more, it was proposed the practice steps by applying somatic approaches through practical process, and consequently Ballet technique course with holistic educational view and proper teaching strategies was developed. The research results were as follows: 1. Somatic approaches applied in this research for teaching Ballet technique could provide "movement" to clarify the concept, solve the problem of body use, promote self awareness by self understanding, and develop infinite potentiality, which could promote the ability of Ballet technique. 2. From students’ feedback, their body awareness and movement ability were increased by applying somatic technique, especially line 7 in Ideokinesis, which could promote the static and dynamic balance capability. Also, the ball for the fascial exploration was students’ best favorite, which had the wonderful effect for opening their hip joints. 3. In this research, the researcher got a chance to think about how to use various teaching strategies, including verbal cues, teaching aids, the richness of teaching content and the respect of individual differences. It was a breakthrough for the traditional training, and the researcher gained a lot from changing and trying new methods. Mei-Chu Liu 劉 美 珠 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 138 zh-TW
