This research was designed by a experimental method including a experimental group with goal setting and control group without goal setting. In order to discuss and compare the goal setting were significantly on the difference situation of students with visual disabilities on physical activity level and sport self-efficacy. The participants of this study were the 20 boarders (amblyopia) in senior department from Taipei School for the Visually Impaired (ten students were assigned to experimental group and ten students were assigned to control group). The experiment proceeded with 10 days for 2 weeks during 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM from Monday to Friday. Regard electronic pedometer as physical activity examine tools while researching. Experimental group and control group wear measurement pedometer separately and filled in the scale of sport self-efficacy before and after the experiment. Before the examination, the experimental group students had to progress at least 10% every day in order to achieve the step in goal setting. According to the resulting materials which adopted statistical method to progress examination and analyze, include onw-way trend analysis, repeated measurement ANOV, and ANCOVA. The significant level was .05 for hypothesis. The research result had been developed as below: 1. the students in the experimental group had significant higher physical activity levels on the post-intervention than the pre-intervention. Also, the students in the control group had no significant difference between pre-test and post-test on physical activity levels. 2. there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on physical activity levels. 3. the students in the experimental group had significant higher sport self-efficacy on the post-intervention than the pre-intervention. Also, the students in the control group had no significant difference between pre-test and post-test on sport self-efficacy. 4. the students in the experimental group had significant higher scores on sport self-efficacy than the students in the control group did. The results suggest that goal setting could help the students with visual disabilities on physical activity levels and sport self-efficacy.
