Description
Summary:碩士 === 育達商業科技大學 === 資訊管理所 === 98 === WiMAX(Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access)is a new WMAN(Wireless Metropolitan Area Network)technology, established its specification in IEEE 802.16x, and supports the QoS(Quality of Service). This specification defines 5 types of service. Many studies about service type for scheduling are most taken by three scheduling algorithms, Earliest Deadline First (EDF), Round-Robin (RR) and Weighted-Fair Queuing (WFQ). The demand for multimedia data transmission in future will have a significant increasing, so a new efficient scheduling algorithm becomes the main topic at the implementation phase. However, the future of multimedia transmission may be faced with High Definition (HD) real-time media transmission needs, then the impact, the data is lost during transmission, will be increased. This plan will take into account an important cause of the quality of service in Point to Multi-point (PMP) operation mode. Through the proposed Connection Admission Control (CAC), a new scheduling algorithm with the utilization of bandwidth based EDF could reduce the dropping of packets. The new scheduling ensure that higher QoS and resource utilization.
