| Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系碩士班 === 98 === By using the irony of paper characters in an animation short, this creative work brings up the thought of essence. This study discusses properties of animation short, writing in animation and visual expression. Analyzing writing and visual expression of paper in good animation shorts to help this creation. Finally it records all the production processes to offer an example for next creation. In this work, the main character is aflame because of his desire for smoking and ends in burn out. Through this resolution, this work brings humor to the audiences. During the production, first I perform the main character in 3D and render out by using toon shader to get 2D images which is flat like drawing on paper. When the main character start smokes, the fire is out of control because he is made by paper. This work combine some techniques like hand-drawing、2D、3D animation、green screen and compositing skills. The short attempts to find an interest of visual expression between image and material in animation and convey the concept that smoking is unhealthy through an interesting and humorous story.
