Instructional Design into Character Education on the Gratitude of the Fifth-Graders 多元智能融入品格教育教學對國小高年級學童感恩態度影響之研究 Jo-Pin Wang 王若蘋 碩士 雲林科技大學 技術及職業教育研究所碩士班 98 The research explores the impact of integrating multiple intelligence instructional design into character education on gratitude of five-graders here in Taiwan.It aims to realize the changes of children’s social attitude,prosocial behavior and their responses to the said curricuculum.To meet the goals,the researchers applies the method of quasi-experiment in desiging the experimental instructional design of “Integrating Multiple Intelligence Instructional Design into Character Education ”.It is done according to the related references,theories and positive research as well as the measures of “The Gratitude Inventory”,adapted by Pei-yu ,Chi(2009). A quasi-experiment research was conducted with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent-group design. They were divided into two groups, the experimental group of 30 people and the control group of 30 people. The experimental group was treated with “multiple intelligence and character education curriculum” for eight weeks, these were two periods each week. Contrarily the control group was not given any treatment. Then, the follow-up assessment to realize the persistent influence of the multiple intelligence and character education curriculum on the children’s Gratitude.Besides, the students were further asked to fill in the “Self-and-Peer Assessment Scale”and”Character Education Feedback List” The analysis of data include independent-Test, sample-Test, and one-factor ANCOVA analysis. Qualitative analysis and discussion sessions were conducted through questionnaire feedback. The main findings of this study are shown as followings: 1. Integrating multiple intelligence instructional design into character education adopted in the research is significant in upgrading gratitude of the elementary students, i.e. on different aspects of”the cognitive aspect of gratitude from positive experience”, ” the cognitive aspect of gratitude from negative experience”, ”the emotion aspect of gratitude”.2. Integrating multiple intelligence instructional design into character education adopted in the research is helpful in building up the good ethical character of the five-graders. 3. Integrating multiple intelligence instructional design into character education can increase the school children manners, thanksgiving, social interaction with other people. 4. Integrating multiple intelligence instructional design into character education is practicable. 5.
