Description
Summary:碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 技術及職業教育研究所碩士班 === 98 === The purpose of this study aims to realize the factors (vocational interests, personal abilities, work values, and labor market conditions) that affect Accounting-major graduates’ occupation selection and their selecting priorities, and further discuss how different universities and Internship/Practicum courses influence the order of the factors. 48 graduating students are as the samples of this study, majoring in Accounting and Accounting Information in two different universities in Central Taiwan. The source of data collection is mainly a questionnaire. The analytical framework, Analytical Hierarchy Process, is chosen for statistical analysis. The results and findings of the current study are as follows: 1. Among the decision-making factors in occupation choice, the Accounting-major graduates place the greatest emphasis on personal abilities to be the fundamental background in selecting working places. They make the final decision by the judgment of innermost values and personal vocational interest states. 2. For those graduates whose vocational interest has a tendency towards the social type, it shows the accountants will choose the social working pattern of teamwork instead of the conventional one. 3. As for the work values factors, self-growth with actualization is the major factor for the participants to consider. They can achieve the goal of their life by getting new knowledge from their careers and develop their own cognition through further education. 4. As for the factor of personal abilities, the graduates highly value interpersonal communication ability, which may be closely related to the conversion of accountants’ roles. They hope to promote their working performances and gain the opportunity to succeed through expert interpersonal relationship skills, active learning, and cooperation with others. 5. As for the factor of labor market conditions, the graduates emphasize career development potential most. A company which can provide an impeccable way of promotion not only can promote employees’ career development but also enhance their sense of belonging. 6. The different degrees to which the participants’ responded to the evaluative factors of vocational interests, work values, personal abilities, and labor market conditions are related to what university they were from and whether they took Internship/Practicum courses. According to the analysis of documents and the results of the research, suggestions were respectively made for the students of the Accounting Department, those of Accounting Graduate Program, and interested researchers.
