They are a kind of prominent gods in folk beliefs, with Shen-Tu, Yu-Lei, Chung-Kui, warrior door gods and temple door gods integrate Chinese door gods culture. However, in academia, people still have no completed study about wish-fulfilling door gods. Therefore, this thesis is denominated as“An Analysis of Chinese Wish-Fulfilling Door Gods and the correlative images”. By document analysis, this thesis analyzes the category of wish-fulfilling door gods and collects legend about wish-fulfilling door gods, besides, this thesis also explains the wish-fulfilling symbolizes and folk beliefs inside the wish-fulfilling door gods images. The categories of wish-fulfilling door gods this thesis analyzes include “historical wish-fulfilling door gods” and “creationary wish-fulfilling door gods”. This study collects legend about wish-fulfilling door gods, analyzes wish-fulfilling door gods images (one hundred five pictures) from Chinese New Year pictures, and generalizes the objects of wish-fulfilling worship include the objects of rich worship such as a treasure bowl, a legendary tree that sheds coins and the objects of posterity worship such as pomegranate, kylin and the objects of social rank worship such as headgear, deer and the objects of long life worship such as peach, crane and the objects of good fortune worship such as peony, magpie, bat, spider. From connotation these image research the folk beliefs that is attached from wish-fulfilling door gods. People commit the wish such as good fortune, social rank, long life, posterity, rich and festivities for wish-fulfilling door gods. The culture of Chinese wish-fulfilling door gods is copious.
