| Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 漢學資料整理研究所碩士班 === 98 === San-Mau''s works infused new life into the uncivilized society of Taiwan, and initiated San-Mau''s fever for two decades, which drew a lot of attention and criticism. Especially for San-Mau''s stylistics, they had a great diversity of opinions. No matter how you classify, you can not generalize a conclusion of San-Mau''s works. Taking a deeper research into the texts, I discover that her self-centered writing style appears repeatedly in her writing materials, which results in the double explanations of the same incident. This dissertation would like to clarify the ambiguity of the stylistics and classify San-Mau''s works into novel or prose by means of text’s analysis. Furthermore, I try to realize the intentions and emotions of her creation through the analysis of her direct and indirect writing techniques.
Based on the analysis of the text, it is found that San-Mau''s works in desert periods often reflected her discomforts and difficulties of desert life in humorous and funny parlance. But when San-Mau''s was dissatisfied with real situation, she regarded the readers as listeners, criticized the right value that she supposed and expressed her true feelings straightly in the writing style of prose. However, as she wanted to avoid talking about the real situation, San-Mau tended to express her own feelings in direct writing technique. Sometimes she told a story, and sometimes she reconstructed the analogous materials in humorous and funny tone. San-Mau set a new atmosphere and covered her true feelings by means of changing plots and teasing parlance in order to convince herself and the readers. Thus, she narrated like telling a story, and its form was similar to a novel. Therefore the creation sensation is the reason why San-Mau''s biography writing moves freely between the novel and the prose.
After the discussion, we give the deeper definitions to the process and the concepts of San-Mau''s creation. In a meanwhile, we provide the methods to research San-Mau''s stylistics and creation. Based on the initial discussion and clarification, we also provide the researchers who discuss San-Mau or other modern female writers with the construct of the basic theory.
