| Summary: | 碩士 === 雲林科技大學 === 漢學資料整理研究所碩士班 === 98 === This study attempts to explore imitations made by Liaozhai Zhiyi toward fictional or literary works, as well as its artistic creativity. This dissertation seeks to discover the trajectory of ancient restoration and innovation; it is divided into five chapters. Chapter One is the introduction, which uses “research motivation and purpose,” “research scope and method,” and “literature review” to describe the motivations for the study and the state of the field. Chapter Two engages in discourse on the historical and literary character of Liaozhai Zhiyi and its author Pu Songling, describing the “historical context,” “life of Pu Songling,” and “study of versions.”Chapter Three uses the language, themes, and forms in the stories of Liaozhai Zhiyi to discuss the ways in which it restores the old, as well as the reasons for its success. This chapter also proposes the focal point of discussion, which is that this book does not simply mimic the ancient styles, but can create novelty from them. Chapter Four will engage the themes, concepts, and the art, to observe innovations of Liaozhai Zhiyi. Chapter Five is the conclusion, which provides a succinct summary of the themes discussed in this dissertation, and integrates views in this dissertation. This is used to view the influence of past literature on Liaozhai Zhiyi, and the achievements made by Liaozhai Zhiyi in the art of fiction.
