Nonetheless, there has been little academic research that focuses on measuring the construct of open innovation. Without formalizing the open innovation concept by assessing its reliability and validity, it is difficult to perform thorough going research to identify mechanisms and help develop open innovation. This thesis collected data from 223 service firms to develop a scale for open innovation. By conducting a series of reliability measures, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and a succession of statistical tests, the result of this thesis is a set of reliable and valid measurements that can be employed to measure open innovation. Implications and limitations to researcher and practitioners are then discussed. Colin C. Cheng 鄭啟均 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 38 en_US
