The major objective of this study is to develop a problem-based learning environment to realize 12-lead ECG e-learning. In this study, thephysicians can select teaching materials, ECG reports with syndrome descriptions, from clinically supported ECG database and the select ECG reports are linked with social web site, Facebook, for clinicians’ self-learning. In Facebook, the clinicians can manipulate ECG waveform measurement with Silverlight technology and share their finding with others. In addition, the social network analysis (SNA) is used to expore the status of clinicians’ discussion on Facebook. In conclusion, this social web based 12-lead ECG e-learning can enhance the ECG learning effifiency, and strengthen the convenience of the collection of ECG teaching cases.
