Rise of the BRICs gradually replaces the developed countries these days, and lately the King Diamond 11 countries rise. Global economic center is slowly turning from the West to Asia region. This moving of economic wheels is changing the world economic outlook. The steel industry is the mainstream industry and indispensable support of economic development. This research is doing tracking and analysis for “China steel industry development in the five specific objectives and the implementation of the three major industrial strategies” in "Towards the twenty-first century, iron and steel industry development strategy seminar" memoirs more than ten years ago. Do some secondary data analysis and discussion for the results of implementation of in the ten years. To better understand the situation, the case study of China Steel Corporation was completed through several interviews. The surplus of steel production occurred on the emergence of China market players. In terms of profits in China steel industry, the benefit is on a decline. Under this harsh condition, Taiwan steel industry market players are responsible for finding the support for iron ore and coking coal; in addition, product up gradation, achieving competitiveness in terms of quality, quantity, and pricing is required. For middle and down-stream of the supply chains, strategic alliances are suggested. Green strategy is desired, this research is finished with the aim to search the new strategies for steel companies in Taiwan in the face of knowledge economy and e-digitalization.
