| Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 管理研究所 === 98 === The major communication interface between human and computer were keyboard and mouse in the past. As HMI of technology products becoming more user-friendly, the application of touch panel not only brings the rise to informative and consumer product, but also innovates the traditional designs of iPhone and iPad. The multi-touch input function could be integrated into a single product at the beginning for the technology to be widely used in the new application of product design. This research focuses on the material of supply chain which was panel industry.
The background of this research was based on touch panel industry in Taiwan dynamic macroeconomic environment. In addition, innovative application scenario is the key driving factor of new trend in product design. To investigate the difficulties and future potential of touch panel industry, we examined one representative panel company in Taiwan as a case study. Facing the competition against rivals from South Korea, Japan and China for the rapid growing markets; in the concept of innovative applications, this research is aimed to find the strategic solutions for Taiwan touch penal industry developers.
