The government has drawn upon related social welfare policies to assist the elder people in their daily life; however, the government should also create the opportunities by designing the proper educational activities to encourage the elderly people to learn more and to participate in society to activate their ageing life. Reminiscence work has been applied both in the medical therapy and in the designing of museum educational programs in the UK. Museums use their collections and through the learning objects and intergenerational learning activities to let the elderly people to engage with the museum objects, to enter into the communities, and to share the history and their experiences with the young generations. The reminiscence of the elders provides the first-handed information to the museum researches; helping the elders to recall their life experiences, to increase their confidence and interaction with others and the society; it is also helpful to the younger people learning from the elders. In addition, the museums are obliged to preserve and transmit the wisdom of the elders and the traditional artistries to the future generations. Hui-Jong Hsieh 謝慧中 2010 學位論文 ; thesis 108 zh-TW
