碩士 === 元智大學 === 服務與科技管理研究所 === 98 === This thesis is a longitudinal study on the evolutionary path of the mobile phone industry in Taiwan, which presents how the complexity of the mobile phone industry affects the development of industry evolution and causes that there are some discrepancy between the theories and realities. Through a detailed presentation of the innovation trajectory in mobile phone industry, this study proposes a conceptual model to show the organic nature of the dominant design, and brings out the significance of innovations, the interplay between services and product innovations, and other possible factors (the structure of sales channel, marketing intensity, and marketing strategy) that have apparent effects in shaping the industry evolution.
