“THE CREATOR, artists’ ark?” － The role of “the craft union of Taipei art creator” analysis

碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 勞工關係學系暨研究所 === 99 === It’s not easy for artists to be a union. Not only because their independence personality but also the culture environment is disintegrating nowadays in Taiwan. However,” the craft union of Taipei art creator” successfully formed on February 19, 2011 and revealed the transition of early labor union by taking social action. Because the preparatory institute called themselves as “creator” at first, trying to fight for art workers and acts like a “trade union”, so this study title named “THE CREATOR, artists’ ark?” Tries to know how “the craft union of Taipei art creator” could do to lead artist in Taiwan towards a better creation environment. This study is based on in-depth interviews with 4 art workers（who participated the organized process）, and 7 art workers（who did not participate the organized process）, and 2 administrative officers from November, 2010 to May, 2011. The study shows, the motivation of art workers formed the union was caused by industry environment changes. But if” the craft union of Taipei art creator” wants to achieve the mission, it has to face the following secret worries like artist is not good at office work; artist is too busy to be mobilized; problem-solving abilities of the union, and so on.
