This research began at literature analyzing in order to construct the frame of theory and empirical spirit of the study. The next step, based on the literature, some studies, and questionnaires, the researcher established a new questionnaire – “A Questionnaire to Investigate Advanced Learners’ Cognition and Attitude toward Cancer”. The valid objects, total 500, were adopted from YMCA in Kaohsiung. After completing the questionnaire and analyzing the data, the results were presented below. 1. “Cure and Prevention of Cancer” had the highest score in advanced learners’ cognition. 2. The advanced learners’ attitude toward cancer was positive and optimistic. 3. The factors that influences advanced learners’ cognition toward cancer were sex, age, education, vocation and marriage. 4. The factors that influences advanced learners’ attitude toward cancer were sex, education, vocation and marriage. 5. Advanced learners’ cognition and attitude toward cancer were positive correlated. According to the results above, the study suggests educational organizations for advanced learners that: 1. Understand how much knowledge of cancer the advance learners have, and then design series of hygiene education lessens for them. 2. Understand advanced learners’ attitude toward cancer. The workers in organizations should place importance on advanced learners’ management of health in order to maintain the positive attitude. 3. Design appropriate curriculums in order to promote disease knowledge and positive attitude especially for female, older and low educational advanced learners. 4. Provide cancer-related physical examination periodically for advanced learners in order to raise the rate of detecting cancers.
