Description
Summary:碩士 === 長庚大學 === 工業設計學系 === 99 === How to use LED lighting to enhance the quality and atmosphere of the dining space is becoming a very important design issues graduately. This study attempts to explore users' emotional response differency at the dining space under different LED lightings conditions (i.e. color temperature and illumination). In addition, according to literature reviews, the results show that there are some correlations between consumers' visual impression to the space and their emotional responses. Thus, this study tries to explore how LED color temperature and illumination to affect users' emotions and their visual impression at dining space. This research is mainly performed on subject between age 19~30 years older. Two different Color Temperature (i.e. warm color temperature at 2700K and cold color temperature at 5600K) and three different illuminations (i.e. low 150Lux, mid 300Lux, and high 500lux) are adopted for the experiment. Questionnaire was used to assess subjects' emotional responses and space impression to the LED light. The experimental space setting is L2.5m × W2.5m × H3m, where does not include any windows in order to avoid having illumination interference. In the space, there is a table with a white table clothes and 2 chairs in the middle of space. To simulate a dinning condition, there are two plates and two sets of silverware (i.e. forks and knifes). The results show that subjects have a better performance on arousal dimension during cold color temperature (2700K) than it does during warm color temperture, while warm color temperature (5600K) acted effectively on pleasure dimension. Warm color temperature also can increase subjects' sensations towards privacy; as illumination increases, subjects' sensations on pleasure, arousal, and dominance also increase. In the meantime it also amplifies subjects' senses on a spacious feeling. Oppositely, the decrease of illumination will reduce the sense of privacy. Under the combination of color temperature and illumination, it shows that LED with warm color temperature (2700K-500Lux) can convey the most sense of pleasure; medium illumination (2700K-300Lux) can convey the best sense of tidiness. With LED bright light, cold color temperature displaies the highest sense of arousal and positive effect on tidiness towards the space.
