Summary: | 碩士 === 長庚大學 === 電子工程學系 === 99 === This thesis investigates on “Circuit-design of optical recognition-sensor”. In the near future, these components will be integrated with the memory and digital circuits, which finally lead to the RFID Tag for wireless sensing circuits.
This circuit is divided into two parts, one for the light sensing action and the other serves for controlling the signal. The main function of the first portion of the circuit, with the input signal of 1GHz RF, is to sense the light intensity and then multiply the output signal with the help of a voltage multiplier to achieve 1.2V which can be used as the supply voltage for the sensor circuit. For the photodiodes of this circuit are used of size 35umX35um.
The power dissipation of the circuit is 21.36mV with VDD 1.2V, and input wavelength of light signal is 0.3λ. The output voltage lies between 550mV and 620mV. This circuit is fabricated with VIS 0.25µm process. A little more modified version of the circuit is fabricated by TSMC 0.18µm process; with the power dissipation of 4.512μw at 1.2V input voltage and the output voltage of 600mV.
