To do this, 460 copies of questionnaire were sent to teachers in the public Elementary Schools of New Taipei City and 374 valid copies were received. I analyze these questionnaires by way of frequency distribution, percentage, T test, one way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method, Pearson coorrelation analysis. The study found that (1) most Teachers prefer teaching students of the 3rd to the 4th grade, and few the 5th to the 6th grade. (2) Teachers with different backgrounds have different levels of willingness to teach different age graders. (3)Teachers with varied personal backgrounds have different preference when it comes to teach a certain aged graders.
