Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 建築研究所 === 99 === Twelve reinforced concrete corbels were tested in this study. Nine of them were retrofitted with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) and the rest corbels were non-retrofitted with CFRP. Parameters of the area of CFRP and the shear span-to-depth ratios are covered in this study. Test results indicate that the higher the area of CFRP the higher the shear strength of corbels is. Test results also indicate that the lower the shear span-to-depth ratio the higher the shear strength of corbels is. The shear strengths predicted by the strut-and-tie model and the design provision of section 11.8 of the ACI Code are compared with the test results. The comparisons show that the strut-and-tie model of ACI Code can predict the shear strengths of reinforced concrete corbels retrofitted with CFRP accurately. The comparisons also show that the design provision of section 11.8 of the ACI Code is less accurate than the strut-and-tie model of ACI Code in predicting the shear strengths of reinforced concrete corbels retrofitted with CFRP.
