碩士 === 中原大學 === 教育研究所 === 99 === The purpose of this research is to explore the causes of the earlier retired junior high school teachers in Taoyuan,and how their life adaptation are. There is a growing trend towards earlier retirement of teachers. Teachers have the influence of students; however, many experienced teachers have determined to apply for the retirement from teaching. This is a qualitative study through in-depth interviews with three teachers . The following findings have been obtained from analysis of the data collected: 1. The causes of the earlier retired teachers include individual ones and the working pressure and stress from students, students’ parents, colleague, even press. 2. Both of the female participants in the study show the unadapted experiences which were about their initial stages of retirement; however, the only male participant was on the contrary. 3. In the terms of Physical Adaptation, all of the participtants place lots of importance on health care, remove some habits which are harmful to health, and do exercise regularly and continuously. 4. Besides taking up another new job, the retired teachers also can have social contacts by taking part in volunteer service and religious activities. 5. All of the participants seems in the least concerned for a fortune, just because the pension can meet their daily needs.In addition, they make a investment or manage their finances with a conservative attitude.
