Wind power has gradually become an unavoidable choice of energy. So the design of wind power energy system is urgently needed. The purpose of this research is to design a small scale and low speed AFPM (Axial Flux Permanent Magnet) wind turbine generator. Use direct drive method to eliminate the gearbox. So the wind turbine generator can have the advantages of high efficiency, low maintain cost, and easy installation. In this design, the stator is slotless and coreless. It can achieved low starting torque, low cogging torque, and low flux ripple. It can achieved 2kW output.
