Description
Summary:碩士 === 清雲科技大學 === 空間資訊與防災研究所 === 99 === There are approximately 300 suspension bridges in Taiwan. Many of these old bridges have been in operation for decades. However there has been a lack of focus on the safety of these bridges. This study focuses on suspension bridges (Pedestrian) within the jurisdiction of the Hsinchu County Government (approximately 30 bridges). The main focus of this study is: 1.The planning and creation of the data format in simplifying the management and of basic information for the facilitation of on-going information management. 2.To discuss the required items in the operation of visual safety inspections. In a systematic approach, this will be used to understand the long-term deterioration of the bridges and allowing a further understanding in selection the optimal inspection method and maintenance cost format. This will also allow the integrity of long-term facility management. On some bridges however, the extent of damage cannot be simply determined by visual inspections. In these cases the appropriate instrumentation must be used in the inspection procedures to ensure the proper understanding in the integrity, damage and deterioration state of the bridge. This allows for the determination whether public safety has been affected. Therefore this study proposes further planning after visual inspections. Bridges can be sorted by deterioration ranking and recommendation (and handling) of equipment based inspection operations in allowing for the determination of the causes and the extent of the damage sustained by the bridge. In addition, the maintenance, reinforcement (or reconstruction) funding, limited and temporary maintenance can be effectively utilized allowing for the increase in public safety. This study surveys bridges within the Hsinchu Country jurisdiction. However through the analysis of results from this study, five recommended formats are proposed: suspension bridge basic information format, suspension bridge visual inspection format, ideal ranking methods for suspension bridges, Usage of suspension bridge inspection equipment and suspension bridge cost format. This allows reference information for bridge inspection and managements. It is anticipated that information on suspension bridge construction and inspection will allow for the following of effective maintenance and reinforcement and ultimately allow for the protection of public safety. tourism.
