A total of 500 copies of the self-designed “questionnaire of the cognition, attitude and current status of teaching on the climate change for the elementary school teachers in Changhua County” were sent out to teachers associated with elementary schools in Changhua County. The teachers were selected by the method of “stratified random sampling” so that difference in school size can be included in the population. There were 485 effective samples. There are 97% for the questionnaire recover. The statistic analysis performed were descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s Post-hoc comparison and Pearson’s related analysis. The main results of the study were shown as follows: 1. The overall cognition about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County is somewhat deficient. 2. There is significant different cognition in various sex, age, graduation branch are, education level, teaching period of service, participate in the related thorough study or the curriculum experience, reading, choice television program and website browsed custom about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County. 3. The attitude about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County is positive. 4. There is significant different attitude in various teaching period of service, choice television program and website browsed custom about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County. 5. The majority elementary school teachers once had implemented the climatic change teaching. The main reason why they taught climate change was because of it is an important issue. Lecturing is the most commonly-used method for the climate change teaching. 6. There is significant different current status of teaching in various sex, reading, choice television program and website browsed custom about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County. 7. There is no significant different with the cognition, attitude and current status of teaching about climate change for the elementary school teacher in Changhua County. From the results obtained in this study, suggestions are recommended so that authorities, foster teacher organization and teachers can follow to take proper actions concerning theeducation of climate change.
