| Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 都市計畫所 === 99 === The major purpose of the traffic-impact assessment is to evaluate the changes of the traffic condition and level of service. We can suggest the improvement plan to reduce the impact and influence of road system and to construct the livability of a place.
This research chooses the region of 6th new urban area of Xitun District of Taichung City to investigate and to analyze the impacts of traffic around the whole region. Trip generation rates and the four-step Transportation Demand Procedural model were applied to estimate the derivation of volume of road traffic after base-developing and the requirement of all traffic needs. Furthermore, to assess the traffic impact and draw up the scheme and improving suggestion of all traffic systems.
Analysis showed that, depending on the target year’s status of intersection traffic simulation survey reports, the average delay time is lower than the construction.
The target year’s estimation of intersection delay model after the service guide line developed, there is no significant differences compared to the current situation.
However since the development is not yet fully exploited due to access to the street blocks (till May 30, 2011). There are still three blocks (based # 882, 61.33%) is not developed until the entire development based is completed; the estimation of resulting traffic impact will be even bigger than the current target result.
