Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 景觀與遊憩碩士學位學程 === 99 === Because of the serious influence of internet on college students’ behaviors, it is important to investigate whether the internet using behaviors are leisure benefit oriented or internet addiction oriented for college students of Feng Chia University. This study has applied the stratified convenient sampling approach to collect data by using a structural questionnaire. 450 questionnaires were distributed and 414 valid samples were obtained with a valid response rate up to 92%. The data were analyzed with the SPSS statistic software packages for the study result discussions. The study results have found to include: (1) Ownership of a PC or notebook, ability and experiences to use computers have been common for college students; the most common activities of internet included information spreading, online games playing, films and music download; the reasons to use internet in the dormitory included free of charge, use as wishes and efficient transmission. (2) Most students have regarded that the benefits of internet use could be social, relaxing, educational, psychological and aesthetic but physiological. (3) although internet addiction were not recognized by most respondents, yet staying late and a lack of sleep, ignoring study and reducing other activities participations were possible. (4) The relationship between internet leisure benefits and internet addiction was found not that significant, which may indicate that a medical study on the internet addiction rather than a questionnaire survey is needed in the future. According to the study results, some suggestions and future study issues were also presented for the references of the college dorm internet use management and relevant topic researchers.
