| Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 運輸科技與管理學系 === 99 === Recently, due to the economy growing and the GDP increased continuously, the private vehicles increased substantially. Thus, the traffic congestion and accidents are also increased at the same time. This research focuses on the safety improvement of the roadway intersection, since more conflict points, more the traffic accident. This study will focus on intersection of Zhang Hua county to compare different area state of accidents. The data involved are from year 2007 to year 2009 with totally 52,191 accident data. As far as the analytical approach is concerned, This study use intersection accidents integer to sort individually for the Zhang Hua County and other township. The result shows that the traffic accidents will occur more often in the case of the intersection where the area is too big or too many roads intersection together. In the suburban area, once the type of the traffic flow are too many, the conflicting problem will become the key factor for the traffic accident. The findings obtained from this study can be definitely used by the administration and roadway authority. Accordingly, the roadway safety will then be enhanced.
