The study also looked into the effects of demographic variables and participation behaviors on perceptions of service quality and satisfaction. A questionnaire survey was conducted to involve 500 subjects. A total of 426 valid responses were collected with a response rate of 85%. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Chi square, independent-samples t-tests, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method and Pearson’s product moment correlation techniques. The results of the study were as follows: 1.The typical participation behavior of a Da-an District Resident Sports Center user was to use the facility by purchasing a “regular permit”, for “1-2 times” per week, with “1-2 hours” every time, and at “14:01-17:00”; the service quality subscales, in a descending order of perception strength, were “Program and Facility”, “Employee’s Expertise”, “Service Contents”, and “ Uniqueness”; the participation satisfaction subscales, in a descending order of perception strength, were “Environmental Hygiene”, “Employee’s Services”, “Sports Facilities”, and “Product Information“. 2.There were significant differences on participation behaviors between/among subjects with different background variables. 3.There were significant differences on perception of service quality among subjects with different ages or educational degrees. 4.There were significant differences on perception of service quality among subjects with different consuming approaches or work-out sites. 5.There were significant differences on participation satisfaction among subjects of different educational degrees or marital status. 6.There were significant differences on participation satisfaction among subjects with different consuming approaches, using time periods, or work-out sites. 7.There was a significantly positive correlation between perception on service quality and participation satisfaction. 楊志顯博士 2011 學位論文 ; thesis 177 zh-TW
